Molten Chocolate Nutella Cake In Less Than One Minute!

Molten Chocolate Nutella Cake

Do you ever get one of those mad chocolate cravings when you need chocolate immediately? And you find yourself raiding the pantry, scrambling for anything chocolate? Even a bag of chocolate chips? Well, raid no more. In just about one minute, you can make this Molten Chocolate Nutella Cake in the microwave. Maybe you have tried individual microwave cakes or mug cakes before and didn’t like their rubbery texture. This one is completely different. It uses NO eggs (which is what makes the other recipes rubbery!) The cake is soft and tender and it’s ooey, gooey and rich and delicious! This will put an end to your chocolate cravings right now!

This Molten Chocolate Nutella Cake doesn’t have to be made only to satisfy an immediate chocolate craving, but you can put it on the menu for your next dinner party. When you make it in these pretty Creme Brulee Dishes, it makes a beautiful presentation (especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.) You will be able to wow your guests with very little effort!

I think you’ll agree that this Molten Nutella Cake is absolutely divine! Try it. You won’t be disappointed. I promise!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (I use 1/2 dark cocoa and 1/2 regular cocoa)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 heaping teaspoon Nutella
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (divided)

Instructions

  1. In a small dish, using a fork, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  2. Stir in the milk and oil and stir just until combined. Do not over stir.
  3. Pour the batter into a small, shallow dish (like a Creme Brulee dish) that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
  4. Place the dollop of Nutella in the middle of the batter and top with 1 tablespoon of the chocolate chips.
  5. Microwave on high approximately 45-55 seconds. (Microwave ovens are different, so check it after 45 seconds. The cake will still look a little bit moist on the top, but will continue cooking even after you remove it from the microwave.)
  6. Top with the remaining tablespoon of chocolate chips and allow to stand at least 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
