Easy Candy Flowers

February 17, 2018 by Becky Leave a Comment

Candy Flowers. What combination of 2 words together could be better? I was in charge of some party favors for a party at church and found a box of Tootsie Pops on sale after Valentines Day. I grabbed a couple of boxes! This is what I came up with! Tootsie Pops made into a flower! Aren’t they cute? Perfect little Springtime Table Favors! The best part is…they are soooo easy! I went looking for some mini terra cotta pots, but came across some seed starter pots. They were much less expensive, so I used them instead. (You could easily use terra cotta pots if you want to..) Follow along and I’ll show you how they’re made. I have had these cute Wilton Baking Cups in my pantry for a while (I just bought them because they were so cute…) I thought I’d make some mini cupcakes for my grandkids someday…but never got around to it. My procrastination paid off today! When I saw these in my pantry, I had one of those “lightbulb moments!”  This will be perfect for the party favors. They would also be great for a Bridal Shower or baby shower too!

Carefully spread out ONE of the mini baking cups and turn inside out.

Place it inside the other cup. This way, the color is on inside and outside. (See what I mean by “easy?”)

Then, I poked a skewer through the middle of both cups to make a hole for the Tootsie Pop Stick.

(I used some wadded up newspaper to fill the Seed Starter Cup, (It held the stick nicely.) Then I topped it with a little bit of shredded green paper.) If the Tootsie Pop is too tall, just break off about 1/2″ of the stick.

So cute and ready for a Springtime Party, Bridal Shower or Baby Shower!
