Carry In Groceries The Easy Way – Grocery Bag Life Hack

I want to share this fantastic little trick that I have. I bought two Large Hooks at Target to carry my groceries with.

This is great for two reasons. One, you can take in more at a time and two, it doesn’t hurt your hands when it gets a little heavy.

I live on the third floor and taking in groceries is nothing short of a marathon taking up my child, then the first load, then the second, then the third. Whew! Are you sweating after reading that?

This simple little gadget makes me happy.

Take a look at what I brought up the 3 flights in one trip!IMG_4734

Does anyone have other advice for people that live up multiple levels? Well.. besides moving that is?

  1. That’s a really great idea! When you start adding bag after bag onto your arm, it does hurt! Unfortunately, I don’t have another suggestion. I do have an idea that I wish someone could one expand on. I am in a Senior community, and, while I am on the ground floor, there are a lot of people living on the second floor (high as it goes). When I see people that live on the 2nd floor, who have gone downhill physically, yet still have to get the groceries in, I often wish there were some sort of “device” that could be used to haul up the groceries – almost like a pulley system of some sort. Living in apartments, you can’t make any permanent or marring adjustments, particularly on the outside. We do have iron railing, so no wood to mess up. But I just can’t think of a way for this to work that doesn’t need a strong man to operate!lol Personally, I’ve never understood why someone would want to live further up that the second floor, but to each there own!lol If I could figure this out, then it should work for people on the 3rd floor, etc.!
