Whole Wheat Pasta and Veggie Bowl

whole wheat pasta and vegetable bowl

This pasta dish is yet another in our 350 calorie meal series.  Most people believe that you have to have a rich creamy sauce with your pasta.  I can’t say that I don’t love me a good sauce, but that is not always the healthiest choice.  I came across several options for pastas that use very little or no sauce and are accentuated with feta cheese. Feta has a salty flavor, which most pastas need to bring out flavor.  Cheese and healthy aren’t always associated, but let’s not forget, our bodies NEED fat.  Everyone seems so afraid of fat, but our bodies need it to function properly.  We just need to find healthy fats, and use them in moderation.  This Whole Wheat Pasta Bowl does just that.  It is a perfect, balanced combo of, whole grains, lean protein, vegetables, and healthy fat.  It is so easy to put together, and you’ll be surprised at how the feta brings out the flavor of everything in the bowl.  Try this recipe for your next meal
