Umami Peppered Lamb

July 15, 2015 by Laurel

Umami Peppered Lamb Chops

My family loves lamb…even the little boys ask for seconds.  I usually grill or broil it.  This Umami Pepper is FANTASTIC! It is like a pepper grinder, but you get way more than just pepper!  I’m not sure I will use regular pepper at my table any more.  You can adjust the grinder to create fine or coarse.  I decided to make lamb chops with just Umami Pepper.  We all loved it.  My 7 year old said it was the best lamb he had ever tasted 🙂

The recipe is the easiest!  All I did was grind the Umami pepper on the lamp chops (both sides).  I used the coarse setting.  Then I added a couple tablespoons of olive oil to a pan on medium high heat.  I added the peppered lamb chops until they were brown and then flipped them until the other side was nice and golden too.  I placed them on a baking sheet and put them in a 350 degree  oven for about 6 minutes.  The time will depend on how thick your chops are, so keep an eye on them!
