I know what you are thinking, Kale? Avocado? Smoothie? WHAT?
This weird sounding smoothie concoction was spurred from a shake that my brother-in-law made. He went on an LDS mission to Brazil and came home with a different way of eating avocados. When he came home, he made avocado shakes. I couldn’t wrap my mind around the flavor of an avocado being paired with “sweet” until I tasted it. Up until then, to me, avocado was savory, and only belonged in Mexican food. My eyes were opened after that shake. Now, when I want creaminess in a smoothie, avocado is the pick.
My favorite part about this smoothie is that instead of ice or frozen bananas, it uses frozen grapes for sweetness and texture! (Don’t forget to munch on a few before you blend em’ up. Yum.)
