Candy Scriptures for Easter

Candy Scriptures for Easter

This is a follow-up to our Christmas version of these cute Candy Scriptures. After Christmas, we had so many of you email us and request a printable Bible verse that would be appropriate for Easter. So we have included a printable pdf of the scripture found in John 11: 25-27. A few years ago, my mom gave me one of these cute little candy scriptures which had been given to her by someone at church around Christmas time. Isn’t this cute? I wish I knew who the clever person was that thought up with this idea so I could give them proper credit.

A few years ago, I made some of them to give away at church after I taught a lesson. Even though they were made of chocolate, nobody wanted to eat them. I guess they were just too cute to eat! One of the cute little older ladies recently told me that she still has her candy scriptures on her mantel and her great-grandchildren love to see them when they come to visit!

So that you can make your own Candy Scriptures to share, I have attached a printable pdf with the tiny little scripture (notice I said “tiny?”) The words have to be very small so they can fit on the candy.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Hershey’s Nuggets Chocolate Candies

Black Card stock for the base

String or Embroidery Floss (any color)

Printed pdf (the link is at the bottom of the page)

White Glue

A Glue Stick

For each set of scriptures, cut a piece of black card stock into a 2 x 1 1/2” piece (maybe just a hair bigger.) Cut pieces the string or floss to about 4″ long and with a dot of white glue, glue it to the center of the small black rectangle as shown below.

Glue 2 Hershey’s Nuggets  with a small amount of white glue to the black card stock (on top of the string) as shown in the photo below.  Allow to dry.

Easter Scripture Candy

Carefully cut the pdf printable scriptures. (Trim it carefully so it will fit.) Fold it in the center, crease it, and spread a little bit of glue stick onto the back of the printable and press evenly onto the candy. (Make sure the crease goes down in between the candies.)

    1. Do you have a corrected version of the printable. Verse 26 is repeated on your template. I LOVE This Idea and am making them as Easter gifts. Thank you SO much

  1. The template for the Easter scripture candy has a mistake on it. Verse 26 has been copied twice in a row. Please check this and correct. Thanks!
