Today, my daughter asked for some marshmallows. When I gave her a handful, I noticed that they were less than fresh so I needed to use them up as soon as possible. Right then, on a whim, I made some Rice Krispy Treats. I used this quick {less mess} microwave recipe. As I was about to set them in the pan to cool into squares, I thought to myself, “No, lets make something fun and festive for fall.” I had some candy corn in the pantry so I shaped the Rice Krispy Treats into pumpkins then used the candy corn as the stem. They were festive but still a little boring. I wanted some chocolate, caramel, color or something. COLOR! YES! I remembered that you can make Crumbly Butterfinger Topping (orange) in the microwave. So Butterfinger Rice Krispy Treats Shaped as Pumpkins is what they turned out to be- a surprisingly delicious combo! After placing the candy corn stem, I warmed some peanut butter in the microwave for 30 seconds and basted the top of the pumpkins with the melty peanut butter. Then I sprinkled it with my Homemade Microwave Butterfinger Topping. I must admit I couldn’t wait for pictures to take the first bite. Slightly off topic question for you all – Is Butterfinger insides and Chick-O-Stick the same thing? Either way, I love the flavor of them both and this tastes just like ’em. NUM NUM!
