How to Maintain Your Summer Glow

How to Maintain Your Summer Glow

Some of you may laugh when you see this blog post title and my name together. Why? I am a whitey. I went to get my master esthetics license a few years back, and since then, I have stayed pretty pasty white. I am protecting my skin against the sun damage for good. That is why I set out on a quest share with you,  not only how to achieve, but how to maintain your summer glow.

When I need a pick me up, or am going anywhere in a bathing suit, I spread on some self tanning lotion the night before so that I am not the light of the party. Blinding light that is.
If I was to recommend a lotion for light skinned beginners or someone that just wants to maintain a summer tan when it starts fading in the fall, this would be it. It’s not too much color, just right.

I have gotten pretty ok at the whole application process.
Shower, scrub, dry off really well, rub in the lotion everywhere really thoroughly going light on the feet, ankles, knees, elbows and wrists. Most importantly, wash the pads of your hands and in between your fingers with a damp cloth when you are done.

I found that this was the easiest, risk-free for beginners lotion that I have used. I say risk free because you never know what you are going to get when you switch to a new self tanner. This one starts off lighter and can double up for the full glow.

When you apply it, it stays white-ish for a few moments so that you can see where it has been applied. It takes a moment to rub in which is a good thing if you are a beginner.

Good luck beginners and hope this work for all you tan folks that want to maintain.

I was provided with some new lotion from ThermaLabs in exchange for an honest review.
