Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits

May 12, 2014 by Marie Leave a Comment

Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits

My family owned a bed and breakfast when I was young. If any food reminds me of the breakfasts that my mom prepared there, it would be these Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits. Guests would rave about them, and beg for the recipe. Whenever my mom divulged how easy they were, people just couldn’t believe it.  Well believe it people! These are made with 4 ingredients.  The are delicious, addictive little numbers that your family begging for more.  Here’s how you make them.

Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits

1 Tube Pillsbury Flaky Layers Biscuits

1/2 c. melted butter

3/4 c. sugar

1 Tbs cinnamon

Melt a stick of butter in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave until it has just melted.  In a separate bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together to make your cinnamon/sugar crust. Pop open the biscuits. Dip each biscuit, one at a time,  first, in the melted butter and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated on both sides.  Place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350º for 14 – 17 minutes or until the biscuits are a nice golden color with a nice crust.

I always pair these with a savory breakfast recipe to compliment the sweet. Most often I make these with Mama’s Baked Omelette.  Give these two recipes a try and let us know what you think.
