Crispy Kale Chips Recipe – A Delicious, Healthy Snack

Crispy Kale Chips A Delicious - Healthy Snack

Anybody who knows me knows that when I reach for a snack, I’m usually one who will choose a crispy, salty snack, over a sweet, sugary one. There is something very satisfying about eating these baked Crispy Kale Chips. They have a unique and delicious flavor. They are much better for you than potato chips or any other kind of commercially prepared chips. These Kale Chips are a great snack to have on hand for when you get “the munchies!” They are full of fiber so they make you feel full longer than other junk food snacks. They are packed with iron, potassium and vitamin A. Besides all that, Crispy Kale Chips are easy to make!

Okay, have I convinced you to try them yet? I think you’re gonna love them.

Here’s the crispy kale chip recipe:

1 bunch fresh Kale

1-2 tablespoons olive oil (I use the light olive oil)

sea salt

Preheat the oven to 275° and line a baking sheet with parchment.

Take one leaf at a time and remove the thick hard stems or “ribs” and cut the leaves into smallish pieces (about 2 x 2″ or so.)

Making Kale Chips

In a bowl, toss the leaves with olive oil

Remove from the oven, and using tongs, turn each piece over. Return to the oven and bake an additional 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool on paper towels to absorb any remaining olive oil. Now that they’re done, try not to eat all of them in one sitting!

I usually make a batch of these after making my favorite soup,  Zuppa Toscana. I always have plenty of leftover Kale!
